UK Appsbroker is one of first to get top ‘Enterprise’ status as part of reseller reshuffle

Google today confirmed UK-based Appsbroker Consulting is one of the first of its resellers to gain "Premier Enterprise Reseller" status for its Apps suite.

The new ‘Enterprise’ reseller designation from Google has been designed to enables customers to more easily assess a reseller’s expertise to advise on deploying its suite of online productivity, communication and collaboration tools.

Previously, the highest enterprise reseller status attainable was as an "Authorised Enterprise Reseller".

Appsbroker said it has moved from an ‘Authorised’ to a ‘Premier’ reseller based on its expertise and success in helping customers deploy and use thousands of Google Apps seats.

Google had not responded to a request to for comment or to confirm exactly how many seats each reseller had to deploy to attain each status.

Mike Conner, founder and director of Appsbroker, told Virtual Clouds that, as far as he was aware, a reseller needed to sell "at least 10 or 20,000" of seats and that the new designation had only been given to 10 Apps resellers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Conner said: "The new level of status introduced by Google I think demonstrates a step change in Google's approach to the enterprise marketplace."

He added: “We are delighted to have our expertise recognised by Google and are looking forward to building on our success to date as a Premier Enterprise Reseller.”
