UK Cloud Awards signs up first sponsor

Ingram Micro is the first named sponsor for the UK Cloud Awards - which has also strengthened the judges' team

Interest is building in the first UK Cloud Awards, announced two weeks ago. We’ve already received several entries but most importantly, we welcome Ingram Micro as the  first sponsor of the awards.

We have also added to the list of judges with the news that serial entrepreneur Stuart Fenton has joined the panel. Stuart, who was previously president of Insight Enterprises and has held senior roles at HP and Microsoft, is keenly interested in cloud technology and his expertise will be a welcome addition to the judging panel.

Current judges are: Andy Burton, founder and former chairman of the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF), Richard Sykes, current chairman of CIF, Ian Osborne, a board member of techUK, Max Cooter, editor of Virtual Clouds, Maggie Holland, group editor of IT Pro and Virtual Clouds, Jon Collins, analyst with Gigaom and Virtual Clouds contributor, Clive Longbottom, analyst with Quocirca, Will Venters, lecturer at the LSE and author of a forthcoming book on cloud and Mike Cadden, a freelance CIO – currently CIO at the Retail Data Partnership. There will be more judges announced shortly.

“Ingram Micro are delighted to be the first sponsor for the first and only UK Cloud Awards and we would encourage our Partners to submit their innovate products, projects and services as best in the British cloud industry.” Apay Obang-Oyway, general manager, enterprise software and services, advanced solutions, Ingram Micro UK.
