HTC integrates Dropbox into latest range

The Taiwanese mobile manufacturer announces a free 25GB Dropbox account will be included in the HTC One portfolio

HTC is set to offer its users cloud storage integration with its latest range of smartphones. 

The company annoinced its HTC One range, including the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V, will all include a free Dropbox account with 25GB capacity lasting for two years.

Although Dropbox has appliactions for various mobile operating systems and sepcial deals for those users, it is the first time the company has been integrated directly into a user interface - in this case, HTC's new Sense 4 UI.

"We are happy to announce we are expanding our partnership with Dropbox," said Peter Chou, chief executive of HTC, during his firm's press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week.

"25GB of dropbox storage for two years is enough to store more than 10,000 very high quality photos and all for free. It is awesome."

The HTC One range will go on sale in April 2012 and the company already has 144 operators onboard to offer the devices, including Orange, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile.

"HTC One showcases our focus on premium design and presmium performance," added Chou.

"[It] is the best phone we have ever made... the one phone and you will like it."
