Pioneering cloud-based Contact Centre strives to assure customers of security and transparency

In an effort to address customers’ security concerns, NewVoiceMedia has been awarded the Information Security accreditation ISO/EC 27001 across the company’s entire portfolio of services and internal processes.

The move comes after a sustained customer demand for increased security and security assurances. Customer research found that the main blocker for cloud adoption were customer fears over privacy, security and transparency.

Customers have responded very positively to the implementation of NewVoiceMedia’s Trust Site, the PCI award and cloud adoption has increased as a result.

With customer concerns in mind, NewVoiceMedia implemented the necessary changes to be awarded the PCI DSS Level 1 accreditation eighteen months ago. After embarking on this learning curve, the decision was made to extend those changes out across the company and to pursue ISO accreditation.

NewVoiceMedia CEO Jonathan.Gale commented that, “Our commitment to security and protecting our customers’ data is unparalleled in the cloud and hosted contact centre market demonstrated by PCI DSS Level 1 and ISO27001 certification.”

Gale added that, “as a company we set out to lead the way, looking across the cloud market as a whole. Cloud vendors are improving but are not brilliant about transparency, performance and processes. We intend to keep driving the market to higher levels of data assurance to allow faster and broader adoption of cloud services.”

The accreditation also comes after the launch of NewVoiceMedia’s trust site in October of 2011, which provides its customers with real time information about the availability and performance of the company’s services.

Ashley Unitt, chief technology and security officer at NewVoiceMedia remarked that, “Information security breaches can have a significant impact on any organisation, whether that is a loss in revenue or a loss of trust amongst customers.

By putting our services, procedures and people through this rigorous certification process, we’re reducing the information security risks our customers face and giving them a safer and more trustworthy experience with our services.”
