Forum to discuss cloud security from an “ethical hacker’s” view.

The Cloud Security Alliance, a public forum for cloud computing stakeholders to discuss security in the cloud, is set to hold its inaugural meeting on Thursday, March 24.

The UK and Ireland chapter of the global alliance was formed last month as a platform for any person or enterprise of any size to share information and expand their knowledge of how to manage information risks within the cloud. As well as hosting regular workshops and forums, BSA will also conduct regular research.

The first meeting, to be held at Canary Wharf, will give those with an interest in the cloud the opportunity to guide the chapter’s research for 2011. It will also include a presentation by Fist-Base Technologies chief executive called “The Cloud Security Landscape – an Ethical Hacker’s View”.

Alliance membership is free and open to professionals from all sectors and areas of responsibility who have an interest in cloud security. Register online at www.cloud-security.org.uk.
