Qlik launches Qlik Sense Cloud Business

The offering will allow anyone in an enterprise to create, manage, and collaborate their visual analytics

Qlik has announced its latest cloud-based analytics offering at its Qonnections 2016 customer and partner event, allowing enterprises to create, manage and collaborate with internal and external team members on their visual analytics projects.

Qlik Sense Cloud Business can be used by entire organisations or just between teams with a group work area to keep separate projects private to certain user groups, group data space where team members can store and contribute data and group-shared networks for sharing streams of information team members can subscribe to.

Everything can be controlled from a drag and drop interface, meaning it’s simple to use and because it works across devices via its HTML5 UI, anyone can check in and contribute from anywhere, on any device.

Data can be collated from a variety of sources including those already operating in the cloud, third party apps and on-premise infrastructures, but this data can then be moved to the cloud for all-round access and analysis.

“Our cloud strategy encompasses more than just an infrastructure or Software-as-a-Service play,” said Anthony Deighton, Qlik CTO and SVP of Products.

“At Qlik, we see an exciting opportunity for cloud-based value-added services to optimise the visual analytics experience.  Likewise, because people do not make decisions alone, sharing in the cloud will always be an important part of our collaboration strategy.”

Qlik added its new product is making collaborative visual analytics accessible to everyone by lowering the barriers to entry and offering a business-ready, subscription-based offering. Qlik Sense Cloud Business will be available to enterprises in the second half of 2016.
