UniSys, a company which had its genesis with the first commercially-viable typewriter in the 1870s, launched its SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud offerings in 2009.

The company has focused on what it considers to be the three challenges that need to be addressed for cloud computing to be viable, namely security, compliance and application rewrites and migration. It offers solutions across many business areas including finance, budget planning, HR, payroll, email, collaboration, analytics and data storage.
